Karachi Kings organise marathon in run-up to PSL opening

The roads of Clifton in Karachi were flooded with blue and gold colors on Sunday morning for (PSL) Pakistan Super League team Karachi Kings' "Karachi Dorega" marathon went underway.

One of reasons of organizing "Karachi Dorega" marathon is to aim at promoting awareness about the health benefits of physical activities, invited people of all ages and from all walks of life.
All the participants gathered at Clifton's Teen Talwar roundabout, where the marathon started.
The crowd of marathon was over the moon when high-profile political figures and celebrities joined them during the marathon.
Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar along with Awami National Party leader Shahi Syed joined the marathon attendees.

The mayor appreciated citizens' spirit, saying, "We all gathered here for Karachi, beyond our political and religious party affiliations."

A huge group bikers with different members riding heavy bikes, which made the event spectacular.
As the bikes made their way through the crowd, they chanted slogans such as "Karachi jeetay ga"
Big stars were also among the 414 players drafted for the second season of the Pakistan Super League.
The list included West Indian stars Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and Darren Sammy, former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson, England’s ODI and Twenty20 captain Eoin Morgan and Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.
Pakistan People are among the all latest news about 2nd addition of PSL.
Former English batsman Kevin Pietersen will be the part of PSL as well.
Five teams will take part in the second edition of the PSL which is going to be held entirely in Dubai and Sharjah in February 2017.
